Architecture Capstone: FPCG Redesign, Spring 2025

Established in 2006, Providence’s Fox Point Community Garden (FPCG) is a vibrant community space in which roughly 150 gardeners care for plots. A four-story development abutting the garden was just approved, which will shade out a significant portion of the garden’s footprint. My capstone project used this context as a design prompt to develop a conceptual redesign for this rich community space.

Structural Structural and Architectural Analysis, Fall 2023

This course examined materials, structures, and processes in architectural design, with coursework focused on specific case-study buildings. For my case-study, I analyzed Herzog & De Meuron’s Caizaforum Madrid, exploring the new elements applied to this monumental architectural reuse project of a post-industrial site.

Intermediate Design Studio, Spring 2023

This design studio emphasized design as a mode of critical cultural inquiry to explore the cultural, environmental, and political forces which shape relationships at various scales in Providence, RI. Our design brief was a “center for craft and design, and my project centered the design workshop as a “creative core” of the program, with supporting spaces opening into it both physically and through viewsheds.

Architectural Projection, Spring 2023

This course covered the origins, media, geometries and roles of projection drawing in the design and construction process. Through hand drafting, model-making, computer drawing and Rhino modeling, my projects created in this course illuminated custom interior detailing as central to my case-study subject, Adolf Loos’ Villa Müller.
